New DVR from Toshiba that offers HDMI

Monday March 7, 2005
The Toshiba RD-XS52 is a Set Top DVR that can record to a whopping 160GB hard drive or to DVD-RAM or DVD-R recordable DVD discs. It features HDMI Video Upconversion which means when you play a DVD, the video signal is upconverted to either 720p or 1080i resolution. HDMI is the newest audio/video interface for connecting to Digital and High Definition televisions. If you have an HDTV, this DVR with DVD recording built in is an excellent choice for recording television broadcasts and archiving TV shows to DVD. Even without the HDMI interface it's a solid choice.
