Cable Companies bring Digital Video Recorders to the Masses

If you subscribe to Cable TV, chances are a Digital Video Recorder is now available to you for a monthly fee. Three large Cable Providers (Comcast, Time Warner and Cox Communications) are now offering DVRs to all of their customers. Previously, DVRs were being provided by Satellite TV Companies, TiVo and ReplayTV, while Cable Companies offered DVRs on a limited basis.
