Guide Review - Okoro Media Systems OMS-SX100 Digital Entertainment System

I really enjoyed using the OMS-SX100 Digital Entertainment System from Okoro Media Systems. Upon arrival on my doorstep, I unpacked the Home Theater PC, placed it in my entertainment center and hooked it up to an HDTV via the HDMI output. I then connected the Optical Audio out to my surround sound receiver. Using the included TV Tuner Card, the Saber 2020 Dual Analog PCIe TV Capture Card, I connected my Cable TV coaxial cable to the RF input on the card. Once everything was properly connected, I fired up the Okoro HTPC and was greeted with the Windows Media Center Operating System. I didn't have to worry about installing any drivers, everything works right out of the box.

The first thing I noticed about the Okoro HTPC was how quiet it was sitting in with my other A/V components. No noisy fan to bother you while watching your favorite shows. The quiet operation can mostly be attributed to the Intel Core Duo processor running in this HTPC. Not only do you get a fast dual-core processor, the OMS-SX100 also comes with a gig of memory and a 250GB hard drive for plenty of recording space. Once Windows Media Center was running, I had to set it up to work with my Cable company. In the Settings menu, you go to TV and then Set Up TV Signal. Work your way through the set-up wizard, choose your TV Tuner, and you're all set to start watching Live TV on this Home Theater PC. With the included Dual-Tuner TV Card and the Windows Media Center software, the OMS-SX100 truly turns into a Digital Video Recorder. Program your TV shows to record in advance and Pause and Rewind Live TV, just like a TiVo. The fully customizable Okoro Media Systems OMS-SX100 Home Theater PC is a great addition to any Home Theater System.
