Can ReplayTV record one show while watching another?
Answer: No it cannot.
ReplayTV currently does not offer dual tuner DVRs.
That being said, there is a work around for cable TV subscribers. You simply split the cable connections out of the wall or cable box, one connection goes to the Replay TV and the other connection straight to the TV. When you want to pause and use the features of the ReplayTV, you view from that source. When you want to watch a live show without Replay TV then switch to the source going straight to the TV.
Switching from the DVR to the TV is a simple as leaving the DVR off and viewing the TV. If you want to record to the DVR and watch the TV at the same time, just program the DVR and then watch another channel using the TV Tuner built into the TV through its coaxial connection.
